Overview
The Nor140 is a precision handheld sound analyzer designed for demanding users, offering a wide range of functions for various acoustic applications. It is the smallest real-time analyzer with sound recording capabilities available today, making it user-friendly, practical, reliable, robust, small, handy, and lightweight.
The Nor140 comes with an extensive set of functions in its basic version, with additional features available as optional extensions. Its modular design allows for functional expansion as needed, without requiring further loading of options.
Key functions of the Nor140 include:
- Instantaneous Sound Pressure Level (SPL)
- Maximum Sound Pressure Level (LMAX)
- Minimum Sound Pressure Level (LMIN)
- Integrated Averaged SPL (Leq)
- Sound Exposure Level
- Maximum Peak Level (LPEAK)
The analyzer supports A-, C-, and Z-weighting for all functions, including LPEAK. The Z-weighting, as specified in IEC 61672-1, replaces the previously undefined Lin or Flat weighting. Optional extensions enable simultaneous measurement with all three time constants (F, S, I).
